Using this site
The Image Prep provides free image tools that run in your web browser. There is no account, no subscription and no charge. By using the site you accept these terms.
What you may use it for
You may use these tools for personal and commercial work alike — product photographs, blog images, client work, social posts, printing, anything. We claim no rights over anything you process. Since your files are never transmitted to us, we could not acquire rights over them even if we wanted to.
You may not use the site to:
- Process material you do not have the right to process.
- Produce content that is unlawful where you are, or where your audience is.
- Attempt to disrupt the site, or to automate access at a volume that degrades it for other people.
Keep your originals
These tools produce new files; they do not modify the originals on your device. Even so, treat every operation as irreversible and keep your originals. Compression, cropping and metadata removal all discard information that cannot be recovered from the output.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the tools will be available, error-free, or that any particular output will meet a platform's requirements.
Platform specifications — image sizes, file size ceilings, marketplace rules — are published here in good faith and checked periodically, with the date of the last check shown where relevant. Platforms change them without notice. Always confirm anything critical against the platform's own documentation before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, The Image Prep and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site. That includes lost files, lost work, lost revenue, a rejected listing, or a print that came out the wrong size. This is a free tool with no server component; the responsibility for checking your output before you use it rests with you.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Advertising
The site may display advertising to cover its running costs. Advertisements are supplied by third-party networks and their content is not endorsed by us. See the privacy policy for how advertising interacts with your data.
Availability and changes
Tools may be added, changed or withdrawn at any time. The site may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. No uptime is guaranteed.
Governing terms
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Updates to these terms will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
